As mentioned in my previous post, I love checking out the beauty bargains in Poundland, and my most recent visit did not disappoint!
In the suncare section I came across Piz Buin "mountain suncream+lipstick."
To be honest I never usually bother with SPF lipcare, however as it was only £1, and Piz Buin is a well-known brand, I thought I might as well pick it up. As soon as I left the store I put some on and I have to say that I loved it instantly. It applies easily from the round balm applicator (if you unscrew it,you can squeeze the pure cream out of the tube), and leaves lips feeling lovely and smooth.
It may only be a factor of 6, but I guess that something is better than nothing?!
I have not seen this product in any of my local chemists/superstores, however it is available at amazon.co.uk at a slightly higher price of £2.79 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mountain-Suncream-Lipstick-SPF20-2-3ml/dp/B0035XPCPW)

Small beauty Haul
I thought I would just do a small post on a few things that I have bought recently!
I am loving my local Poundland at the moment, they have so many amazing bargains, and a lot of really decent brands/products in there. Two of the above products are from Poundland:
-Olay Pore Refining Cleansing Mousse: i've been using this for a few weeks recently and am still undecided on it. It's a light mousse and when you rub it in you can feel tiny tiny exfoliating grains, so it's okay to use in the morning, but not to take make-up off with. I'd not ever heard of this product, nor seen it anywhere else, so that was why I was intrigued and decided to buy it.
-5 Volumising Inserts: these are basically the JML hair Bump-Its, but for just £1. A few weeks ago I used my friends inserts to create a really small beehive and they work perfectly! She said she got hers from poundland ages ago, so imagine my luck when I found them last week! Definitely worth picking up for £1!
The Tesco sensitive cleansing wipes and eye make-up remover wipes were 21p and 70p respectively. I always like to have some wipes at home, and couldnt resist at this price! Even the value wipes are 28p, yet I think they will be better quality judging by the packaging etc?
Finally the Maybelline Mousse Concealer was another bargain from Tesco's and was only £2.06! They had loads of baskets of maybelline mascaras, foundations and concealers on sale, all at really good prices and surprisingly none of them had been touched and smudged everywhere!
I always feel such a sense of accomplishment when I find really good bargains, don't you?!

Lush 9 to 5 cleansing lotion
I love trying out new things from Lush, and on my last visit I picked up their 9 to 5 cleansing lotion to use in conjunction with the Clinique 3 Step. I've only ever tried face masks from Lush before, so I was quite intrigued to see what their other skincare products would be like!
I purchased the smaller bottle (95g) which was just under £4.
I have to say I'm quite impressed with this, it is so simple to use and smells lovely! It is just like any basic lotion which you would use with a cotton pad to wipe off make-up, and it seems to be lasting me a while which is a good thing!
The only downside I can find to this product is that it has quite a runny consistency, but that isn't too much of a problem for me really.
I'd love to try more of Lush's skincare products in the future, and would love to hear of any recommendations.

Review - clinique 3 step
Hiya! So here is my first product review, and as promised it is on the clinique 3 step system, which I started using recently!
I always enjoy looking at the skincare counters in department stores, and was offered a consultation by the lady at the Clinique counter, so of course I obliged! She analysed my skin, demonstrated the 3 step products on me, and also gave me a make-over. I was there for nearly an hour, and was really impressed with everything.
I decided to purchase the 3 step starter kit (from Debenhams), which cost £20, and it contains: 50ml Liquid facial soap, 100ml Clarifying lotion & 30ml Dramatically Different Moisturising gel. (The consultation revealed my skin type is number 3 - combination oily, however skin types 1 & 2 would receive the moisturizing lotion, and type 4 would also receive a gel.)
The system is really simple to use. Firstly you wash your face with the liquid facial soap and rinse off (I find this really pleasant to use and you don’t need a lot to completely clean your face.) Next you pour a few drops of the clarifying lotion onto a cotton pad and swipe it all over your face. (The type 3 formulation doesn’t smell very pleasant, but I can really feel it working on the skin, you can feel a very light tingling. Also, it is actually an exfoliator, not a toner, which I used to think it was!)
Finally you moisturise with the gel, and you don’t need a lot to cover your face. (I find it makes my skin feel baby soft which is really nice!)
GOOD POINTS
*Quick and simple to use, it literally takes a few minutes!
*It definitely helped with oiliness, I no longer wake up with a very oily t zone!
*I do think that, even after using for just 2 weeks, that my skin started looking a lot clearer, mainly on my cheeks and forehead.
*For £20 it’s great value, as the products don’t go down too quickly.
BAD POINTS
*It doesn’t really help to combat spots. I suffer from quite frequent breakouts, and the consultant did say that the system would ‘stop spots in their tracks’…so I wouldn’t recommend this system if you have a specific skin care problem.
*You can’t use the liquid facial soap to take make-up off, which means you have to spend some extra money on finding a separate cleanser. I did think that the title (3 step system) would suggest a core skin care system, including a cleanser or a dual cleanser/facial wash, as opposed to just a facial wash.
So that’s the first proper installment of my blog….I hope it’ll be useful for some of you! Please let me know what you think, if there’s anything that could improve my review, and also if any of you have tried and liked/disliked the 3 step too!

first ever blog!
Hey everyone!
So, I’m new to blogging, and I apologise if it isn’t the most ‘polished’ blog you’ve ever looked at! I’ve only recently started watching beauty videos on you tube and following beauty and fashion bloggers, but I’ve quickly become addicted! I love hearing what beauty/fashion buys other people have bought, things they’ve tried and reviewed, and generally learning more about how other’s go about their beauty routines!
The main reason I decided to start blogging myself is because I’ve tried and tested so many beauty products, and I’m constantly buying new ones, so I wanted to share my thoughts and opinions on them all with you.

The product I'm planning to write about first is the Clinique 3 Step Skincare System, which will be posted very soon :)
